After recently gaining new drummer Kyle Moore, the Bullfight camp has been hard at work writing some new songs. This little country rock number was the band's first attempt recording with producer Nathan Hook at Rephrase Studios, the producer's new residency.
lyrics
She's wearing her black dress
With those boots again
You and your lipstick
Looking at her, now I can't move
Honey, put on your face
That only took you an hour to paint
What will I wear tonight?
Sweetie Pie, I'll wear anything you like
She says that she's got something worth waiting for
And I know it's not no pretty white church chapel door
She says that she's got it all figured out
And I tell her I don't know what she's talking about
So I'll just close my eyes
Journey up, be high up in the sky
Where said that she feels safe
Even if it's not a real place
It's where her granddaddy went
And it's where she swears she'll end
Where she goes nobody knows
And I'll be god-damned if I get to go
She says that she's got something worth waiting for
And I know it's not pretty white church chapel door
I asked her where she got it from
She said she got it from her daddy and her mom
